Money Talks

Talking About Finances – Stress-Free

Why I am doing this

For many years, I’ve been deeply engaged with private retirement planning, stock and ETF strategies, and insurance products. Looking back, I realized that my biggest problem was often not the question “What is the best product for me?” but rather What is it that I don’t know yet?

  • Wait, what? – I need exemption orders for all my investment products to make full use of my capital gains tax allowance?
  • Wait, what? – Most actively managed funds do not beat their underlying index? And a large majority doesn’t even outperform chimpanzees?1
  • Wait, what? – Classic capital-building life insurance policies usually don’t generate worthwhile returns because, after costs, they often don’t even compensate for inflation?2

Knowing that you know nothing is often the first step in the right direction – but it also creates uncertainty. Many people find themselves asking:

  • Where should I start?
  • Which information actually matters?
  • How can I tell good products from bad ones?

Money Talks is my personal passion project.
I want to help people better understand financial concepts – without sales, without hidden motives – simply through open conversation.

What you get with “Money Talks”

  • An open, honest conversation about finances – completely free.
  • Clarity on key fundamentals: stocks, ETFs, private retirement planning, insurance.
  • Support in sorting your questions and recognizing important decision principles.
  • Hints on how to identify good products.
  • My reviews of texts on finance, economics, etc. (Coming soon: see My Reviews)

What you won’t get

  • I do not recommend any specific financial products.
  • I do not sign or mediate contracts and have no cooperation with any providers.

How does it work?

  1. You send me a short message about what you’d like to talk about.
  2. We find a time – online or in person (if possible).
  3. We calmly discuss your questions and create clarity.
  4. More clarity: Ideally, after the conversation you’ll know what you need to know. In the worst case, you’ll at least have a better sense of what you don’t know yet.
